Ohanzee Co - Founder, Lieutenant Timothy Schnoor, is currently serving in his 21st year as a Chicago Police Officer. Timothy is assigned as the Commanding Officer of the Chicago Police Detail Section, the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Coordinator for the Chicago Police SWAT Team, and the Motorcycle Detail Commanding Officer. The Detail Section is responsible for providing Homeland Security to all the major sporting, concert, and special event venues in the city. The Detail Section works in conjunction with several specialized units within the Chicago Police Department including SWAT, Bomb, K-9, Intelligence and District Patrol to provide the utmost security for the millions of event guests per year. Prior to his assignment to the Detail Section, Lieutenant Schnoor served as the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Coordinator for the Chicago Police SWAT Team at the rank of Sergeant. Timothy also served at the rank of Sergeant in the Chicago Police Department’s 019th District where he supervised a midnight robbery mission team, working closely with the Detective Division to investigate and prosecute robbery offenders. Timothy served as a Police Officer on the SWAT Team, 025th District Robbery Mission Team, 025th District Patrol and the 007th District Patrol.
Certified by the State of Illinois in dignitary protection, Timothy has significant experience in executive protection. This includes working alongside the Secret Service to provide security at the personal residence of Former President Obama, for Attorney Generals, and for various global dignitaries during the 2012 NATO Summit. His expertise extends to operating in presidential motorcades, escorting foreign dignitaries, counter sniper operations, and personal protection.
Timothy holds a Master of Science Degree in Threat Response Management from the University of Chicago, where he also participated in the Department of Homeland Security's “Leading Through Crisis” program. Timothy obtained a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Early in his life, Timothy demonstrated a commitment to service and leadership, earning the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America. During his time as a scout, he served as Senior Patrol Leader and led a high adventure SCUBA diving expedition in Islamorada, FL.
Timothy’s extensive service to his community, combined with the skills developed through experience, continued education, and professional development, has prepared him to help others protect their most valuable assets.
